Engineering High Performance Goodyear Welted Footwear Machinery

<img src="http://www.ESM.uk.com/uploads/news/YT5V92342.jpg" border="0" alt="" align="left"Roberto Petrozzi, Managing Director of The European Shoe Machinery Company (ESM), is a man with a driving ambition - to produce top-quality high-tech footwear machinery and then to maintain it to the highest standard for his customers around the world.

A tour of ESM's UK-based factory with Mr Petrozzi gives evidence of his enthusiasm for the industry, as well as pride in his company's recent achievements. Founded in 1995, ESM outgrew its first home in the centre of Kettering, and in September 2008 opened a new facility on the outskirts of the town, to include offices, housing corporate services such as sales, marketing, finance and distribution. The company has recently refurbished the original site to include a showroom, thus allowing customers to view and test machinery before committing... [more]

ESM Opens New Showroom and Training Facility

<img src="http://www.ESM.uk.com/uploads/news/IMG_1948.JPG" border="0" alt="" align="left"New and existing customers are invited to demonstration sessions to see for themselves how ESM machines enable you to increase performance and reliability whilst reducing defects and downtime, resulting in a significant increase in profits.
As well as the new showroom, ESM have also expanded their machine rebuilding facilities, realising that customers are increasingly seeing the advantages of having their old machines rebuilt to a standard higher than many new machines on the market.
The training facility is part of ESM's strategy to provide the highest level of customer support. Training and demonstration sessions are aimed at production managers and operators that are new to ESM's high performance machines. The session explains and demonstrates how to get the most performance out of the... [more]

World Record for ESM

<img src="http://www.ESM.uk.com/uploads/news/new_guinness_world_record.jpg" border="0" alt="" align="left"Traditionally the company manufactures shoe making machinery but on this occasion they organised a world record attempt for the 'Most People Applying Moisturiser'. Reaching the target of 400 people was no problem as the company smashed the record, achieving a total of 1068 participants.
Hosted in the seaside town of Rimini, Italy, the record was strictly inspected by the Guinness adjudicators and at 12.30pm on Sunday 9th August ESM was presented with the prestigious award.
The presence of journalists from local and national newspapers as well as TV news crews ensured that there was full body media coverage, just adding to the suspense of the occasion.
This record was ESM's first attempt of obtaining a Guinness World Record but will certainly not be the last.
The company have experienced... [more]

ESM Performance

<img src="http://www.ESM.uk.com/uploads/news/performance.JPG" border="0" alt="" align="left"If you are in the luxury footwear manufacturing sector, increasing volume of production without increasing other costs such as staff may seem a ridiculous notion. And trying to get well established processes changed to improve production is quite frankly a road you do not want to go down. Inevitably standards will drop if speed of production is ramped up from available resources. But what if you could actually increase production volume without sacrificing quality?

ESM Performance are now geared up to offer Goodyear Welted footwear manufacturers a pretty unique efficiency review for their production facilities. The review looks at the machinery in use, number of processes, current downtime statistics, spare usage volumes, operator comfort and fatigue, as well a whole host of other parameters... [more]
